MDE Scorpion Excavator Grabs are a must on every operator’s attachment list. One of the main key features of the grab is its ability to give you a breakout force like no other on the market. With its fixed front grapple you can easily pull-out tree stumps, clear overgrowth and stack rock armour.

Scorpion Grabs can be used for demolition projects to take down buildings, pick out solid steels and timber with the hydraulic back grapple. Scorpion Excavator Grabs are a hydraulic attachment that can hold on to heavy material thanks to its’ powerful hydraulic cylinders.

The SX Grapple features a unique ability to be used as a industrial grab or saw unit, simply bolt on the saw unit to cut timber and fell trees. This innovative attachment integrates the precision of a chainsaw, with the versatility of an excavator grapple.

SX Grapples feature no unnecessary moving parts and only requires greasing regularly which keeps maintenance to a minimum. SX Grapples feature a single hydraulic tied arm linkage design, resulting in fast & high powered gripping force. Easily grab & hold onto logs, boulders, steel and other debris. 

 The first manufactured ‘Grab & Cut’ shear in Ireland. Suitable for multiple sized machines ranging from 14 - 26 tonnes. Slayer features a dedicated top grapple to take a firm hold of the tree before cutting. Once the top grapple takes a firm grip of the materiel only then the bottom shear arm proceeds to cut. This system also features the ability to re-handle materiel with the dedicated top grapple once cut.

The MDE Slayer is designed for high output tree harvesting. It’s built for tough working environments for all day use in the forest. The Slayer’s grab & cut system makes tree removal safer in high-risk areas. Operators first take a firm grip of the tree, then enabling the shear arm to cut the tree, this system reduces the chance of the tree falling after its cut.

 MDE officially launched the Koala Tree Shear range in 2014. Made from high strength steel and armed with a replaceable blade it comes as no surprise that the Koala Tree Shear has become a huge success across the globe. The MDE Koala range was designed with a purposely built heavy chassis, to ensure it is stronger, more resilient and robust than anything else in its market category.

Koala tree shears are hydraulic attachments, that connect to an excavators hammer lines. The hydraulic cylinder pushes the Hardox edge through the tree, and shears it. The benefit this design has, is that when the tree is cut, it can be placed to a safe location.

 Want to cut trees with precision & power? The Kodiak Grapple Saw is designed with this thought in mind. The Kodiak Grapple Saw can cut larger diameter trees, with a smaller operating vehicle. This is due to the Kodiak’s powerful chainsaw, and relatively low weight Hardox® design. Kodiak is lighter than a shear with a bigger cutting diameter!

Equipped with two powerful hydraulic cylinders that take a firm grip of the tree, then by enabling the saw you can cut the tree into sections. This attachment ensures cleaner cuts, reduces the risk of tree damage, and the potential for accidents caused by unpredictable tree falls.

 MDE’s Vortex series is the only mulcher designed with this thought at heart. Our Vortex mulcher can comfortably mulch heavy material, whilst having the ability to neatly trim hedgerows, shred over growth, clear invasive vegetation and regrowth. The Vortex is a heavy duty swinging hammer mulcher that can withstand harsh working conditions and serve in a multitude of working application areas.

The Vortex mulcher can shred material up to 200mm / 8 inches in diameter. The Vortex has been fitted with a hydraulically operated door, which improves safety by letting you control material spread. An anti-cavitation valve has been fitted and protects the motor from excessive flow.
